Moga, Aug 25 (UNI) Police has decided to get the DNA test conducted of the five alleged accused, including two policemen, in the infamous rape case of a deaf and dumb girl in Moga, as the victim was unable to identify three of them.

Moga police party today took the samples of all the five accused and also of the victim to Chandigarh DNA laboratory for their DNA examination.

On July 30, the girl, whose identity has not been established so far, was found roaming in the town in a dishevelled condition by a local priest. When he questioned her, she started crying and conveyed the incident through gesture. She has been lodged in a Nariniketan in Jalandhar at present.

Two policemen, Paramjit Singh and Constable Balbir Singh were arrested after the victim identified them in the presence of SDM Moga and the Principal of Special Red Cross Deaf and Dumb School, Faridkot.

However, three other people identified as Sonu, Lakhwinder Singh and Deepak Kumar later surrendered claiming that they had raped the girl after taking her to Talwani Bhai.

Following this, the police filed a plea for discharge of the policemen, which the court turned down.

Moreover, the girl failed to point out any of the three during the identification parade on August 11.
