Mumbai, Aug 25 (UNI) Search operations to nab an alleged key accused of the Ahmedabad serial blasts, Abdul Subhan Qureshi, continued today in the Metropolis as well as in Mira Road area in neighbouring Thane district.
A team of Anti-Terrorist Squad (ATS) along with city as well as Thane police raided several places in Mira Road in search of Qureshi, who is believed to be working for a noted computer firm and having a flat in Mira Road and also in Mumbai, a police officer said here today.
Police said they had received information that Qureshi played a vital role in the conspiracy to trigger blasts in Ahmedabad on July 26.
Meanwhile, talking to mediapersons here today, ATS chief Hemant Karkera said further investigations into the threatening e-mail sent from Khalsa college computer laboratory were on.
After the Ahmedabad blasts and the threatening e-mail to media houses stating that next target is Mumbai, the ATS have sent 25 teams across Maharashtra to conduct investigations and track down the culprits.
