Raipur, Aug 25 (UNI) Leader of the Opposition in the Lok Sabha L K Advani will arrive in Chhattisgarh tomorrow on a one-day visit to lay the foundation stone of 1,000 MW thermal power plant and take part in other programmes, official sources said.
Mr Advani would arrive in Korba in a special aircraft where he is scheduled to lay foundation stone of 1,000 MW power plant of the State Electricity Board and an engineering college. He would also address a public meeting on the occasion.
He would reach the state capital during afternoon and address a state-level conference -- Beneficiaries of a Poverty Eradication Scheme -- organised by the Panchayat and Rural Development department. He would later return to New Delhi.
Chief Minister Raman Singh would welcome Mr Advani at airport and would accompany him in all the programmes.
Mr Advani's visit is being considered important in view of the initial phases of the process of ticket distribution for the upcoming state assembly elections.
