Guwahati, Aug 24 (UNI) Security arrangements have been tightened in Assam and Tripura in view of Prime Minister Manmohan Singh's visit beginning Monday, Assam Chief Minister Tarun Gogoi today said.
The Prime Minister will first go to Agartala to inaugurate a railway line, which links the Tripura's capital with the rest of the state.
Dr Singh will then fly to Jorhat in Assam to lay a foundation stone of a medical college. Later he will take part in a public function at Nagaon.
After spending the night at Rajbhawan, he will go to Kokrajhar for laying the foundation stone of an Agriculture University.
He will also attend an IIT convocation before flying back to New Delhi.
