Prachanda to meet Chinese President

Kathmandu, Aug 24 : Nepal's Prime Minister Prachanda will meet Chinese President Hu Jintao in Beijing today.

Prachanda who has reached Beijing on Saturday to attend the closing ceremony of the Olympic Games will also meet Chinese premier Wen Jiabao.

According to sources, Prachanda will attend the luncheon hosted by Jiabao in honor of visiting heads of State and Government.

He will meet senior leaders of Chinese Communist Party on Monday.

Nepal could not send its top state representative to Olympic opening ceremony due to political stalemate, Nepalnews reported.
