One killed, 16 injured in Jammu road accidents
Jammu, Aug 24 (UNI) A man was killed and 16 others were injured in different road accidents in the Jammu region in last 24 hours, police sources said here today.
''A driver died on the spot, when his vehicle, which was on its way from Karole to Kundi, rolled down and fell into a 400-foot-deep gorge near Ramban,'' official sources told UNI.
The driver has been identified as Abdul Gani, a resident of Dhandala Dhand Thrath, while five others also got injured in the accident. Police and Army evacuated the injured from the spot and rushed them to a nearby hospital.
However, 11 people were admitted in GMC Jammu after they sustained injuries in the different road accidents here and outskirts.
Meanwhile, two truck drivers were seriously injured in stone pelting in different regions of the state.

was
pelted
with
stones
at
Bimana
Chowk
in
Srinagar.
Later,
he
was
referred
from
government
medical
hospital
Barzula
to
Medical
College
Jammu,
police
said,
adding,
''another
truck
driver
Jagdish
Raj,
a
resident
of
Bani
Basholi,
also
sustained
injuries
due
to
stone
pelting
near
Samba
district
and
he
was
also
undergoing
