Lt Gen Sapru inaugurates 'Sarv Dharam Sthal'

Chandigarh, Aug 24 (UNI) Western Command GOC-in-C Lt Gen TK Sapru today inaugurated the 'Sarv Dharam Sthal', an institution epitomising the symbolic union of different religions under one roof, at Chandimandir Cantonment.

The dome shaped structure of Sarva Dharam Sthal contains ample space to accommodate several devotees with specific corners assigned for different religions under one roof.

The inauguration ceremony was characterised by solemn recital of religious chants by priests belonging to different religions.

Senior army officers, junior commissioned officers, other ranks and their families were present on the occasion.
