Jharkhand Governor invites Soren to meet him tomorrow
Ranchi, Aug 24 (UNI) Taking a step further in the formation of a new government, JMM president Shibu Soren tonight sent two representatives to Jharkhand Govorner Syed Sibtey Razi seeking an appoinment at 1600 hrs tomorrow to stake claim to form a new regime.
A Raj Bhavan source said the Governor gave his consent to the proposed meeting.
NCP leader Kamalesh Singh (MLA) and the JMM chief's eldest son Durga called on the Governor at Raj Bhavan at 2115 hrs tonight, coveying Mr Soren request for his audience.
Mr Soren would stake claim tomorrow, said Mr Singh, who was a minister in the outgoing chief minister Madhu Koda government.
Political activities developed so fast that Mr Soren himself took the initiative of roping in Indpendent MLAs, key to the formation of the government.
The Independent MLAs, who till this morning were seen with Mr Koda, suddenly did a volte-face by the evening.
