Nagpur, Aug 24 (UNI) The producers of a children's film will release it in 18 theatres simultaneously here on August 27.

''This will perhaps be the first time in the history of the Indian film industry that a film will be released in so many theatres in a single city at the same time,'' Hemangi Dharmadhikari, co-producer of the film 'Ek Pari Jaadu Bhari,' told UNI. The film is slated to be released in 18 of the 22 cinema theatres in Nagpur, she said.

''In fact, we wanted to release the film in all the 22 theatres in Nagpur, but could not do so as four of them are either under renovation or have other commitments,'' Ms Dharmadhikari said.

After the film's initial run in Nagpur, it would be released in other cities in the country on a similar pattern, she said. This was being done to ensure that as many children as possible watch the film, which had a specific message for the youngsters, Ms Dharmadhikari said, adding that the movie would be screened in the morning shows only to ensure maximum attendance from the target audience.

The two hour 14 minute movie directed by Shyam Dharmadhikari was canned in a month and a half, entirely in and around Nagpur at a cost of Rs 32 lakh.

The cast consists entirely of local talent, including Ishani Nilajkar and Ojas Dharmadhikari in the main roles.
