All India Forward Block to hold march in November
Lucknow, Aug 24 (UNI) The All India Forward Bloc (AIFB) today decided to hold a march to Delhi in November to raise anti-people issues like price hike and the Indo-Us nuclear deal.
Addressing a press conference here, AIFB General Secretary and Rajya Sabha member Debabrata Biswas said the march would traverse from all the states and would reach Delhi in November.
''On September 15-16, the party would decide the march route and other programmes,'' he said.
The decision to organise the march was taken in the Special National Council meeting of the AIFB, held here yesterday.
Mr Biswas said the Special National Council meeting was called after the corporatisation of politics in the country, which was witnessed during the July 22 vote of confidence in the Lok Sabha.
It was also decided in the meeting that the party's next meeting would be held at Patna in 2009.
Meanwhile, reacting on the Amarnath land issue, the AIFB leader said both the Congress and the BJP were responsible for the problem and demanded that the government should ensure that the pilgrims were given full facilities on their journey.
