Hyderabad, Aug 23 (UNI) Telugu matinee idol Chiranjeevi, who has lately plunged into politics, tonight felt that his rise in politics might be steady, but without any wrong move.
''I may ascend step by step, but will not falter in my steps,'' he said while hosting a dinner for his colleagues in the tinsel world.
He expressed confidence that he would make the film world proud of him and conveyed his heartfelt thanks to the artistes and those who had worked with him from behind the scenes, while recalling his immemorable association with each of them including directors, producers and technicians.
Talking about his entry into politics, the actor said, ''I do not want to travel on two boats at the same time'', and while getting emotional, said he was still not able to accept that he was bidding goodbye to the film industry.
Actors Mohan Babu, Nagarjun, Pawan Kalyan, Nagababu, Allu Arvind, Allu Arjun, Ram Charan Tej, Ravi Teja, Srikanth, Brahmanandam, Aswini Dutt were among those who attended the funtion.
Chiranjeevi, in his 30-year long film career, he has acted in 148 films, including three Hindi and two Kannada. His successful movies included ''Gang Leader'', ''Gharana Mogudu'', ''Indra'', ''Tagore'' and ''Shankardada MBBS''.
