AP: Four arrested for possessing idols

Visakhapatnam, Aug 23: Four people were arrested, including a priest at Ganapathi temple in Vadlapudi, near here for possessing Panchaloha bronze idols weighing 22 kg.

Police said acting on a tip-off, a police party rushed to the spot and nabbed the accused last night, who were trying to dispose of the 17th century idols.

The value of the idols was estimated to be more than Rs 50 lakh in the international market.

The accused were produced before the court, police added.
