Badal greets people on Janamashtami
Chandigarh, Aug 23 (UNI) Punjab Chief Minister Parkash Singh Badal today greeted the people on the occasion of Janamastmi and exhorted them to follow the teachings of Lord Krishna to attain eternal peace, prosperity and happiness in life.
In a message on the eve of this auspicious occasion, Mr Badal said that ''Lord Krishna is an apostle of peace, saviour of Dharma and symbol of truthfulness and righteousness. His long philosophical sermon contained in 'Srimad Bhagwat Geeta' has a profound impact on the present materialistic society and is more relevant in the modern age to attain spiritualism and eternal peace, strengthen the bonds of communal harmony and universal brotherhood.'' Mr Badal appealed the people to celebrate this sacred day in unison and with religious fervour and gaiety.
