Bhopal, Aug 23: The pilgrims going to perform Haj through Madhya Pradesh State Haj Committee would be required to deposit the requisite foreign exchange and airfare by September 20.
The exchange rate of Saudi Riyal has been fixed at Rs 11.65, official sources said today.
State Haj Committee Secretary Mrs Nusrat Mehdi said the airfare had been fixed at Rs 12,000, Foreign exchange for various categories have also been fixed.
The first class green category pilgrims not getting Rubat (wakf accommodation) to stay at Mecca and Medina would have to deposit Rs 72,522 and second class white category Rs 63,206 and third class Azizia category pilgrims Rs 62,042.
Those permitted to stay at Medina alone would have to deposit Rs 66,700 for green category, Rs 57,384 for white and Rs 56,219 for Azizia categories.
Those Haj pilgrims who have got permission to stay at Mecca would have to deposit Rs 37,587 and those permitted to stay at both Makkah and Medina would have to deposit Rs 31,765.
Shia pilgrims have been given the option of Meeqat (Johfa) for which they would have to deposit 100 Saudi Riyals (Rs 1165) for transport charges.
The foreign exchange and advance airfare would have to be deposited in the current account No. 30361856116 of Haj Committee India in the State Bank of India's core banking branches.
Pay-in slips have already been sent to each Haj pilgrim by post, and it can also be downloaded by the website www.hajcommittee.com, Mrs Mehdi added.
