President of the Sarvajanika Hitarakshana Samithi, K K Srinivas told in a press conference at Siddapur today that they were calling off the six day protest as the concerned officer is sent on leave and the arrested CoC secretary Satya is released on bail.

He demanded the transfer of Circle inspector Krishnakumar and DySP Shashikumar as police had 'intentionally' booked a case against the editor of a weekly newspaper, Vasanth, his wife and a relative Satya under Untouchables Act.
