London, Aug 21 : American film actor Jon Voight has branded comedian Roseanne Barr "evil" for the tongue-lashing she doled out on his daughter Angelina Jolie, and her partner Brad Pitt.
Barr had posted a very bitter tirade against Brangelina on her web site, calling the 'Tomb Raider' actress as the "evil spawn of actor Jon Voight" and Pitt as Jolie's "vacuous hubby."
The Emmy Award winning actress had accused the Hollywood couple of donating money to charity only to build themselves a reputation as heroes of humanitarian causes.
She had also ranted about how the two, who earned millions, gave away just a small percentage of their earnings when they could easily give more to better the lives of those less fortunate.
Voight has now hit back, branding her a "psychopathic liar", who can never be taken seriously, as she has formerly been exposed for allegedly telling tales about her childhood.
"We can never be surprised at what vile evil comes from the mouth of a confessed victim of child abuse at the hands of her own parents," the Sun quoted him as saying.
"Roseanne's parents responded to the accusation by going on air and slating she is a psychopathic liar and her sister agreed," he stated.
Voight also brought up an occasion when Barr had sparked outrage with her rendition of the Star Spangled Banner before a 1990 baseball game in San Diego, in which she screeched throughout the tune before grabbing her crotch and spitting.
"That gave us an insight into who she is and what she is capable of saying and doing," he added.
The 'Midnight Cowboy' legend is also enraged at the comedienne for ridiculing Jolie's indecision over which presidential candidate to endorse ahead of the US election.
