JD(U) reiterates demand for dismissal of Lalu
Patna, Aug 21 (UNI) Reiterating its demands for dismissal of Railway Minister Lalu Prasad from the Cabinet, the JD(U) today threatened to continue its tirade if the Centre failed to drop Mr Prasad.
JD(U) state president Rajiv Ranjan Singh alias Lalan Singh and party national spokesperson Shivanand Tiwari told newspersons here that the party would take up the matter with Prime Minister Manmohan Singh within two to three days.
They would furnish the related evidences with a demand for dismissal of Mr Prasad from the Ministry till the probe in this regard was completed.
In case thy failed to initiate any action within 15 days after their meeting, the party would decide its future course of action, they added.
No concrete clarification had so far been made on the part of Mr Prasad, they said adding that the RJD was trying to divert attention from the real issue instead.
In support of their allegation for ''job for land'' scam, both leaders alleged that the witnesses of the CBI in the Disproportionate asset (DA) case against Mr Prasad - Rampani Yadav alias Mukhiya and his relatives and Shankar Yadav - were provided with jobs in Railways.
Further, Mr Prasad also suitably compensated one of the senior scribes with life long free railway pass for deposing in his favour before the court, they alleged.
They said instead of releasing the list of appointments made in the Railways during the regime of Mr Nitish Kumar, the RJD should also publish the entire list of the appointments made from 2004 to 2008.
