Groundnutseed, its oil steady, RBD Palmolein eases

Mumbai, Aug 21 (UNI) Prices of groundnutseed and its oil remained steady today on scattered buying by stockists, while RBD Palmolein eased on lack of fresh demand by stockists, traders at the Bombay Commodity Exchange said.

In oils (10 kgs), Refined palmolein and cottonseed (refined) fell by Rs 2 per ten kgs, on lower buying support.

Even, castor comm and kandla moved down by Rs 5 and Rs 8 per ten kgs on sluggish demand by bulk consumers, traders said.

Among seeds (per quintal), javas 60/70, javas 70/80 and javas 80/90 increased by Rs 25 per quinal each on speculative buying by dealers.

However, sunflowerseed and castorseed Bombay were down by Rs 100 and Rs 75 per quintal respectively on sustained heavy selling pressure by stockists.

Both castorsed Disa and Hyderabad were down by Rs 25 and Rs 50 per quintal respectively.

In De-oiled cakes, undec cottonseed improved by Rs 100 per metric tonne on good demand by bulk consumers, traders added.
