Former Cadet joins IMA to become Commissioned Officer in Army
Tiruchirapalli, Aug 21 (UNI) S Muralitharn of Tiruchirapalli, an ex-cadet joined the IMA under the University Entry Scheme (UES)-17 for technical candidates to become a Commissioned Officer in the Indian Army, according to a press release here.
Mr Muralidharan was the first cadet to join IMA through UES in many years from here. He was picked up during a campus interview on motivation-cum-preliminary screening test, conducted by Col Sunil Anand, Commanding officer of 3 (TN) CTC NCC, held here in the last year, it said.
Mr Muralidharan was motiovated due to his stint with the NCC in the school, where he was the troupe leader. He stood out amongst the candidates and was later coached by Col Anand and his unit staff to prepare him mentally and physically for the SSB interview, in which, he emerged with success.
Mr Muralidharan received the best cadet award in the inter-unit competition of NCC group here, the release added.
