Sexual Harassment: Bhatia asked to leave RAW
{image-PMO office_21082008.JPG news.oneindia.in}New Delhi, Aug 21: RAW training institute issued a termination order to Nisha Bhatia, just a day after she tried attempting suicide at the PMO after alleging that she had been sexually harassed by the top brass of RAW in front of the national media at the Ram Manohar Lohia Hospital.
The RAW acted swiftly, first by issuing a rare rebuttal of her charges and on Wednesday, Aug 20 morning serving her with orders asking her to demit her charge at the training institute and to report to the RAW headquarters instead. No new charge has been assigned to me. As of now it means I am without a job," Bhatia told sources.
She lamented that nobody from RAW had contacted her in an official capacity after Tuesday"s incident and that she might file yet another complaint, this time in court.
While top Government officials allege Bhatia had exhibited an 'erratic' interest in the inquiry set up at the behest of National Security Advisor M K Narayanan, her going public with the allegations could help the RAW in strengthening its case of the woman officer committing grave insubordination and violating the external intelligence agency"s strict conduct rules.
