Pakistan President Pervez Musharraf resigns
Rohtak, Aug 18, 2008: India's hopes of a first Olympic boxing medal are high, with boxer Akhil Kumar. His parents are also praying for his gold win in the Olympics.
Akhil whose win over Russian world champion Sergey Vodopyanov came on 15 August will face Moldova's Veaceslav Gojan on Monday, Aug 18 for a place in the last four for 54-kg category. Akhil earlier outboxed 2005 world silver medalist Ali Hallab of France in the first round and seems India's best bet.
