Rabri demands Army help in flooded area
Patna, Aug 20: Former Bihar Chief Minister Rabri Devi today demanded to immediately hand over the flood affected three districts Kisanganj, Araria and Supaul to the army to tackle the situation.
Criticising the state governnment for its failure Rabri Devi told UNI here tonight that the chief minister Nitish Kumar has totally failed to control the situation. She said 52 gates on river Kosi were opened without alearting the people following which several villages in Supaul district and in Kishanganj and Araria were submerged.
She said no officer or any other authority had taken pain to take stock of the situation.
The people were left on the mercy of the God, she said adding that the situation in the three districts specially in Supaule can not be control by the civil officers.
Rabri Devi demanded to immediatly press the army into the situation to rescue the affected people from the flood affected area.
