Deshmukh reviews security for ganesh festival
Mumbai, Aug 20 (UNI) Maharashtra chief minister Vilasrao Deshmukh today asked the civic authorities to repair all the potholes and prepare a proper coastline for immersion of Ganesh idols.
Speaking at a meeting organised to discuss the security situation in the state during the Ganesh festival, Deshmukh said all civic corporations in the state should maintain proper vigil in their cities for the festival to avoid any untoward situation.
Meanwhile, Mr Deshmukh and deputy chief minister R R Patil released a book written by Naresh Dahibaokar, on terrorist activities and preventive measures to be taken by Ganesh mandals.
