Rathod is misleading Banjara community: Jadhav
Mumbai, Aug 19 (UNI) Newly-elected president of the Banjara Kranti Dal, Rakesh Jadhav today said expelled BJP MP from Yavatmal district Haribhau Rathod should stop misleading people from the Banjara community.
Addressing a press conference here, Mr Jadhav alleged that the reason given by Mr Rathod regarding his absence during the trust vote and the acceptance of his demand is completely false and misleading to the people from the nomadic tribes.
''Rathod has organised a rally of the nomadic tribes on August 21 to showcase and prove his following in the community and not for the benefit of the people,'' Mr Jadhav said.
Mr Jadhav said Mr Rathod has forgotten all the help given to him by BJP general secretary Gopinath Munde and people from the nomadic tribes are unhappy with it.
''Rathod was on the streets when Munde helped him and gave him an MP ticket, but he has betrayed him and the party,'' Mr Jadhav said.
It may be recalled that Rathod remained absent during the trust vote on July 22 this year, saying that the UPA government will include the nomadic tribes in the reserved category all over India, which the BJP led government failed to do and would not do even if it came to power.
