Newly renovated Nair hospital inaugurated
Mumbai, Aug 19 (UNI) The newly-renovated BYL Nair hospital was inaugurated by Shiv Sena's executive president Uddhav Thackeray here today.
The hospital has increased its capacity by adding 471 beds and is the first civic hospital to have special facilities for autistic children in the age group between 3-4. They will be admitted next week and have four hour sessions daily and is called autism dynamic intervention (ADI).
While replying to a query on the increasing deaths in Mumbai's civic hospitals, Uddhav said admitting patients and charging them less if they have a ration card can help in controlling the deaths.
The hospital has a cardiac surgery cardiology, urology, neutrology, a dialysis unit and 13 new operation theatres in the newly expanded premises.
