Jammu, Aug 19 (UNI) Security forces have increased vigil in Chamba District of Himachal Pradesh following intelligence reports indicating possible entry of militants in the State.
''Pressurised by the counter-terrorist operations of the Army, in the neighbouring districts of Jammu and Kashmir, the militants may sneak into Chamba to look for safe sanctuaries,'' an official spokesman said.
''The Army has undertaken steps to pre-empt such possible terrorist movement into the pristine Himachal territory and has increased vigil along the roads and interiors in Chamba district in conjunction with other security forces deployed in the area,'' he said.
Intelligence agencies recently indicated about the possible bid of terrorist groups sneaking into Chamba district of Himachal Pradesh.
