Kerala HC Gets Additional Judge, 12 Vacancies Remain
New Delhi, Aug 19 (UNI) Thomas Puthenpura Joseph has been appointed an Additional Judge of the Kerala High Court to fill one of its 13 vacancies, the Law and Justice Ministry announced today.
He will have a two year term from the day he assumes charge, the announcement said.
The Kerala High Court has a sanctioned strength of 38 judges, 12 of which still remain vacant.
A count last month showed that more than 260 of 876 sanctioned judgeships in India's 21 High Courts were vacant.
