Mumbai, Aug 18 (UNI) Select non-ferrous metals like zinc slab and lead ingot declined today by Rs 100 and Rs 200 per quintal respectively owing to poor demand from local dealers and discouraging advice from London Metal Exchange (LME), traders at the Bombay Metal Exchange said.

Zinc slab and lead ingot finally ended at Rs 10,000 and 10,500 per quintal respectively.

However, tin slab and nickel cathode increased by Rs 13 and Rs 10 per kg respectively from their previous close, on lesser stock supply by industrial users.

Copper wire bars and aluminium ingot remained unchanged on scattered buying by stockists, traders said.

In ferrous metal category, barring copper utensils, all metals remained stable.

Copper utensils were down by Rs 100 per quintal on sluggish demand by stockists, traders said.

Other metals, which remained unchanged, were copper heavy, brass utensils, brass cuttings and aluminium utensils, traders added.

Following are the spot metal prices per quintal: Ferrous metals: copper heavy - Rs 36,000, copper utensils - Rs 33,700, brass utensils - Rs 25,000, brass cuttings - Rs 26,200 and aluminium utensils - Rs 11,100.

Non-ferrous metals: copper wire bars - Rs 39,300, aluminium ingots- Rs 14,100, zinc slab - Rs 10,000, lead ingots - Rs 10,500, tin slab - Rs 1,040 per kg and nickel cathode - Rs 1,045 per kg.
