PMK will not move confidence motion against DMK on its own
Tiruchirapalli, Aug 18 (UNI) Pattali Makkal Katchi(PMK) will vote in support, if the Left parties, who are part of the DMK led DPA front in Tamil Nadu, pull out of the alliance and move a 'no confidence motion' against the ruling DMK in Tamil Nadu.
Addressing a press conference here today PMK founder President S Ramadoss said however, the PMK will not move such a resolution on its own.
Replying to a question whether the AIADMK would move such a resolution and if so, whether his party would support it, Ramadoss said ''we will act after studying the situation at that time provided the Congress also supports it.'' He reiterated his earlier demand of a White Paper on the MoU signed by the Tamil Nadu government with foreign companies to attract investments so far. The White Paper should spell out how many MoUs had been signed, how much of investment has been attracted, how many had really provided jobs, how many of the remaining MoUs would provide job opportunities and how many youths would derive employment from them.
The PMK was demanding the White Paper because the announcements made in this regard by the state government did not match the results, he alleged.
