Bangalore, Aug 18: Home Minister V S Acharya on Monday, Aug 18 said his department had received some vital clues in the recent serial bomb blasts.
Stating that the culprits involved in the July 25 blasts were likely to be arrested soon, he told reporters here that a team of police personnel from the state would leave for Ahmedabad as part of their investigation into the blasts. The police officials had already collected the data, including the mobile phone numbers which would lead to the arrest of the accused in the blasts.
The police were also gathering the details of a person, who had stayed in the state, arrested by the Gujarat police in connection with the blasts that took place on the next day at Ahmedabad, he added.
Dr Acharya said he would convene a meeting of the Water Resourses Minister and the Energy Minister next week for providing more security to dams and power stations in the wake of surge in terrorist activities in the state.
The minister said 37 police officials would leave for Singapore soon for undergoing a one-month training in traffic management to be implemented in the city.
