Home Ministry gets clues on serial bomb blasts

Bangalore, Aug 18 (UNI) Karnataka Home Minister V S Acharya today said that his ministry had received some vital clues on the serial bomb blasts in the city and was likely to arrest the culprits soon.

Dr Acharya told reporters here that a team of the police personnel will leave for Ahemdabad today as part of their investigation into the bomb balsts that occurred on July 25 in the city.

He said that the police officials had already collected the data including the mobile phone numbers which would surely lead to the arrest of the accused in the bomb blasts.

The police were also busy getting the details of a person, who had stayed in the state, arrested by the Gujarat police in connection with the blasts that took place on the next day at Ahemadabad.

He said he is convening a meeting of the Water Resourses Minister and the Energy Minister next week for providing more security to dams and power stations following increase in terrorist activities in the state.

The Minister said that atleast 37 police officials will soon leave for Singapore to get a one-month training in the traffic management to be implemented in the city.
