Brit born Lankan youth murdered after being called a "f****** Indian

London, Aug.18 : A British-born Sri Lankan teen was stabbed to death by a cab passenger who called him a "f****** Indian", his friends claimed on Sunday. According to The Sun, Nilanthan Moorthy was in a group outside a party when a cab pulled up.

A white man in his 30s already arguing with the driver started trading insults with Nilanthan's friends. He was driven away but returned and allegedly stabbed Nilanthan in the neck.

The British-born Sri Lankan collapsed and died in Croydon, South London, at 1 a.m. on Saturday.

His friend Amir Butt, 23, said: "He was organising a party as a surprise for one of our friends. He was in the car park of the restaurant when a minicab pulled up. There was a guy in the back who was really drunk and started shouting, 'You f****** Indians, you f****** P***s.'

"Nilanthan said they didn't want trouble and urged the driver to move on. The driver took him away but he came back, walked towards Nilanthan and threw a punch.

"He must have had a blade in his hand because he ended up with a slashed throat," said Butt.

Nilanthan, of New Addington, South London, is the 50th teenager to be murdered in the capital since the start of 2007.
