New Delhi, Aug 18 (UNI) Low-cost carrier IndiGo today appointed Aditya Ghosh as its President.
Mr Ghosh replaces Bruce Ashby who will continue as CEO till this year-end, IndiGo co-founders Rakesh Gangwal and Rahul Bhatia said in a joint statement.
''Bruce has done a terrific job of building a truly world-class airline at IndiGo in the past three years,'' they said.
''And we are fortunate to have an executive of Aditya's caliber provide leadership and direction as we continue to build IndiGo as the premier low-fare airline of India.'' Mr Ghosh, who will remain a member of the Board of Directors of IndiGo, said he was looking forward to working closely with Mr Ashby and the IndiGo team to continue to successfully deliver on the airline's commitment of affordability, and a hassle free experience to the travelers.
Mr Ashby said it was a great experience to have helped build India's award winning low-fare airline from the ground up.
''I am confident that Aditya will successfully fulfill his role at IndiGo as the airline moves forward into its next phase of growth,'' he said.
