Raipur, Aug 17 (UNI) Bangla author-cum-poet Biswajit Sen feels that most TV series have perverted story-lines that are not uniting but actually playing the role of breaking up society and families.
''Earlier, powerful series were produced based on works of several eminent writers such as Shrikant and Bimal Mitra but now pot-boiler series are being dished out on private channels.
This era of perverted and cheap story-lines will not continue for long,'' he said after a fiction seminar here last night.
''A good storywriter should read literature and travel to observe things closely,'' Sen said while praising Chhattisgarh's literary atmosphere and adding that the atmosphere here was superior to his native place Patna.
The author was here on the invitation of Director-General of Police Vishwaranjan who is himself a senior litterateur.
