Hooda orders special 'girdawri' of flood hit areas
Karnal, Aug 17 (UNI) Haryana Chief Minister Bhupinder Singh Hooda today said special 'girdawri' would be undertaken in the flood-affected areas of the state where heavy rainfall had adversely affected the standing crops.
Talking to the mediapersons here, he said the government would provide adequate compensation to the farmers for the damage caused by the floods.
The government had made proper arrangements to control floods and in case of negligence, strict action would be taken against the erring officials, he added.
