Haryana's first agro mall project set in motion

Karnal, Aug 17 (UNI) Haryana Chief Minister Bhupinder Singh Hooda today gave a bonanza of four projects costing Rs 131.50 crore, which would include an Agro Mall to the people of this town.

These projects include 220 KV Sub-Station, Agro Mall, Solid Waste Treatment Plant and Railway Over Bridge.

The Chief Minister today inaugurated a 220 KV Sub-Station at Unispur built at a cost of Rs 58.50 crore which will benefit the people of Karnal by way of providing them quality power supply.

The air conditioned Agro Mall to be constructed at a cost of over Rs 30.02 crore will provide excellent marketing facilities to the fruit and vegetable growers and traders within the State. It would also be a one window shopping for all kind of fruits and vegetables and a unique shopping experience for those consumers who shy away from doing their normal horticulture shopping from unhygienic vegetable markets.

The Agro Mall would enable the farmers in getting remunerative prices and value addition of their produce besides benefitting to the traders by way of direct sale.

The Solid Waste Treatment Plant to be constructed at a cost of Rs 16.58 crore at village Shekhpura of Meerut road will facilitate the proper disposal of waste of Karnal city and its adjoining areas.

The Railway Over Bridge (ROB) on Delhi-Ambala Railway line, the foundation stone of which was laid today by the Chief Minister in the presence of Haryana PWD (B&R) Minister, Capt Ajay Singh Yadav at Taraori will be constructed at a cost of about Rs 27 crore. The length of this ROB would be 2.37 kilometres.
