New Delhi, Aug 17: Bharti Airtel Ltd, a group company of Bharti Enterprises, said its subscriber base has crossed the 75 million customers mark, making it the largest integrated telco in the country. The subscriber figure includes customers from all its business units such as mobile services, telemedia services and enterprise services.
''We are happy to have achieved this milestone of being the largest integrated telco in the country in customer terms,'' company CEO and Joint MD Manoj Kohli said. He said the company aims to be the most admired brand in the country by 2010. With 72.07 million mobile customers as of July-end this year, Airtel further cemented its position as the fourth largest in-country mobile operator in the world, the company said in statement.
The company is well positioned to become the largest wireless operator in the world outside of China.
The company had crossed the 60 million customer mark in February 2008 and the 50 million customers mark in October 2007, making it one of the fastest growing telcos in the world.
