Maya's biased attitude is dangerous to democracy: Shivpal Yadav

Lucknow, Aug 16 (UNI) Reiterating that Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Mayawati was framing SP leaders under fake cases, Samajwadi Party acting president Shivpal Singh Yadav today said the BSP supremo's act was posing danger to the democratic set-up.

Quoting figures, Mr Yadav said Ms Mayawati had so far registered over 15,000 fake cases against the SP leaders during its 15-month-old regime in the state.

Mr Yadav said the UP CM is after all those who had supported the UPA governemnt at the Centre during the trust vote.

Mentioning the recent harassment case of senior SP leader Harikewal Prasad, Mr Yadav said Mr Prasad is a well-known face amongst the masses and they adore him, the act was intended to malign the image of the people's representative.

Recently, senior SP leader and Salempur MP Harikewal Prasad's securitymen lost his weapon during duty hours and the BSP government was framing the MP and his son into the case, he said.

Charging police with making a biased probe into the case, he said police was dancing to the tunes of the UP CM. Mulayam Singh Yadav had been apprised about the case, he added.

Demanding an honest investigation into the case, he further said any partial attitute would not be tolerated and the government might face the music over the same.

Besides, he demanded security for Mr Prasad.
