Isolated rainfall in the State

Bangalore, Aug 16 (UNI) Following is the summary of observations recorded in weather office here at 0830 hrs today.

Southwest monsoon was weak over North Interior Karnataka.

Rainfall occurred at most places over Coastal Karnataka, at a few places over South Interior Karnataka and at isolated places over North Interior Karnataka.

Rainfall amounts (cm): Agumbe 10 Siddapura 5, Gerusoppa, Linganamakki, Kammardi 4 each, Mudibidre, Kota, Kollur, Kundapur, Sringeri 3 each, Mani, Belthangadi, Dharmasthala, Subramanya, Udupi, Karkala, Bhatkal, Kumta, Honavar, Ankola, Joida, Yadgir, Hosanagar, Koppa 2 each, Puttur, Bantwal, Mulki, Shirali, Karwar, Siddapura, Sirsi, Bhagamandala, Madikeri, Sagar, Talaguppa, Tyagarthi, Thirthahalli, Soraba, Kalasa, Jayapura 1 each.

Forecast valid until Monday morning: Rain/thundershowers likely to occur at most places over Coastal Karnataka, at a few places over South Interior Karnataka and at isolated places over North Interior Karnataka.

Farmers Weather Bulletin: Light to moderate rain likely to occur at most places over all the districts of Coastal Karnataka, at many places over Kodagu, Shimoga, Chikmagalur and Hassan districts of South Interior Karnataka, at a few places over remaining districts of South Interior Karnataka and at isolated places over all the districts of North Interior Karnataka.
