Srinagar, Aug 16 (UNI) In view of the daily clashes between CRPF, the security personnel and processionists resulting in causalties among both the sides and apprehension of trouble during today's massive rally at Pampore, almost all the hospitals in the summer capital have made full arrangements to meet any emergency situation, though there is ashortage of medicines.

A UNI correspondent who visited the SMHS hospital today saw all the beds in the disaster management ward lying vacant as the patients, who were injured during clashes in the past four days, have been shifted to wards in the main hospital.

Sixty other beds in other emergency wards have been kept ready to meet any emergency. This, the sources said, has been done to meet any emergency today when lakhs of people are participating in 'Pampore chalo', on a call given by both the factions of the Hurriyat Conference (HC).

''Work in our new casualty block was stopped because of the disturbances in the Valley,'' hospital sources said.

Sources said the work on the ground floor of the block was planned to be over by March next year as it was going on in double shift till the unrest in the Valley. But now a majority of the labourers, from Bihar have left for their homes.

Sources said only 30 per cent of the total indoor patients were left in the hospital and others left for their homes because of the distributed conditions.
