Loherdega, Aug 14 (UNI) Police today claimed to have foiled maoist bid of triggering blasts on the eve of Iindependence Day after arresting three arms suppliers and recovering huge amount of explosives from them in this district.
Superintendent of Police Subodh Prasad said acting on a tip off three people were arrested from separate location under Sadar police station area here who had received order of explosives from the proscribed CPI (Maoist).
About 12 kilograms of explosives, 7,000 detonators, 30 bundle of fuse wire, 40 meter of codex wire and 7 kg of giletine were recovered from them, Mr Prasad said adding that all these items were brought from Sasaram district of Bihar.
Mr Prasad said that all of them had earlier also supplied explosives to the proscribed outfit.
