Lucknow, Aug 14 (UNI) On the eve of the 61st Independence Day celebrations, three senior police officials of the state have been selected for the prestigious ''Gallantry Seva police medal' while 26 policemen were given 'Gallantry Seva Samman Symbol' and 101 policemen were awarded with ' Comendable Seva Samman'.
The three police officials to receive the Gallantry seva police medals are additional director general of police (law and order ) Brijlal, Additional Superintendent of Police, Ghaziabad Vijay Bhushan and Inspector civil police Agra Jagdish Chandra.
Chief Minister Mayawati will personnally present the awards, which included a gold medal, citation and Rs 25,000 each to the Gallantary Seva Police medal winners at the official Independence day function to be held in front of the Vidhan Sabha tomorrow morning.
Mr Brij Lal, a 1977 batch IPS officer has also been awarded with President Police medal and holds the key posts of ADG STF, ADG Crime along with ADG (law and order).
Meanwhile, the state director general of police Vikram Singh had also announced Gallantry Seva Samman Symbol for 26 policemen and Comendable Seva Samman to 101 policemen of the state on the occasion of the Independence day.
