SIMI worker held with fake currency worth Rs 6,500
Lucknow, Aug 14 (UNI) A Student Islamic Movement of India (SIMI) worker was today arrested for possessing fake Indian currency amounting to Rs 6,500 from Ghurpur area of Allahabad city in Uttar Pradesh.
Senior Superintendent of Police (SSP), Allahabad, Lalji Shukla said Mohammad Amir (32) was nabbed from near Iradatganj crossing, when he was waiting for his another associate.
The SIMI worker was also behind the bars in 2002 in another case, the SSP informed.
