London, Aug 14 : British reality television celebrity Jade Goody is set to go into the Indian 'Big Brother' house in an attempt to amend her public image.
Goody, 27, is due to fly to Mumbai August 14 to prepare for the show's weekend launch, earning a whopping 100,000 pounds, and she is expected to enter the house on August 18. Bollywood star Shilpa Shetty, 33, who had been the target for the racial slur in the Celebrity Big Brother show last year, will be hosting the Indian version of the show, called Bigg Boss.
Goody told her family that she could be away for three Months and she also told her pals that she is nervous about being in the show.
"Jade wasn't sure when she was first approached because she was worried about how the Indian housemates and public might react," the Sun quoted a source as saying.
"She was really upset about everything that happened after the scandal last year. People in India were burning effigies of her in the street.
"But she really wants to clear her name and prove to everyone that she's not a racist," the source added.
In 2007 Jade, wannabe wag Danielle Lloyd and former S Club 7 singer Jo O'Meara were accused of making racist comments about fellow housemate Shetty.
Jade was caught on camera calling the Bollywood actress, who went on to win the show, "Shilpa Poppadom".
