John Cusack's alleged stalker to stand trial
Washington, Aug 14 : American actor John Cusack's alleged stalker Emily Leatherman, who was arrested in March (08), is to stand trial.
Leatherman had been arrested near the High Fidelity star's Malibu home and later charged with stalking, but the case was put on hold while she was evaluated by a court-appointed psychiatrist.
Los Angeles Superior Court Judge Susan Speer ruled on August 13 that Leatherman, 33, is competent to stand trial but cannot represent herself, reports Contactmusic.
A court-appointed psychiatrist evaluated Leatherman and said she was "delusional" and "paranoid."
She has been held in custody since her arrest and faces up to three years in prison if she is convicted.
The judge appointed an attorney to represent Leatherman at trial, set to begin Sept. 9.
