Shimla, Aug 14 (UNI) Incessant rain has affected transport, water, electricity and telephone services in most places of Himachal Pradesh.
The heavy rain has disrupted air, rail and road traffic. Flight to Shimla, Kullu and Gagal remained cancelled due to bad weather and heavy rainfall.
The engine of Pathankot-Jogindernagar passenger train derailed near Koparland due to flooding of track.
There was big traffic jam on National Highway 21 as it was closed due to landslide at Daliyara.
Traffic on Chandigarh to Manali route was also disrupted due to lanslides and falling of bolders on a private bus injuring 6 people on National Highway 28.
Most of link road is either closed or in pathetic condition due to landslides and accumulating of mud and stones on the roads.
A report from Fagla village of Mashobra Block of Shimla district stated that flashflood washed away an old house.
The Una district administration today said that property worth Rs five crore was damaged in the district due to rainfall.
Una has received 60 mm rainfall, Solan district recorded 53.2 mm, Dharamshala 40.2 mm, Sundernagar 32.2 mm, Nahan 22.8 mm, Bhuntar 22.2 mm, Shimla 21.6 mm and Kalpa received 4.4 mm raifall.
Maximum and minimum temperatures show sharp fall due to heavy rainfall in most places of state, minimum and maximum temperatures of Shimla town recorded 16 and 18.5 degrees celsius, Sundernagar 20 and 23 degrees celsius, Bhuntar 17.5 and 23, Kalpa 10.2 and 19.4, Dharamshala 16.9 and 23.8 degree Celsius, Nahan 20 and 26.5 and Solan 20 and 22 degrees Celsius .
Met office has forcast heavy to very heavy rain and thunder shower in most of places in Himachal Pradesh for next 24 hrs.
