Mumbai, Aug 14 (UNI) A local court today rejected Faisal Khan's petition, seeking a stay order on the reality show 'Big Boss-2' which will go on air on August 17 on the newly-launched Colour channel.
While passing the order, Additional City Civil and Session Judge K P Joshi upheld the defence's arguement that it was the prerogative of the producer as to whom to keep or not on the show, and secondly the plaintiff had failed to perform some statutory formalities like furnishing of medical examination certificate.
Judge Joshi also observed that if the plaintiff had suffered any financial loss, then he had the liberty to file an application seeking compensation.
Faisal had stated in his petition that he was signed on as a contestant by Endeomol on July 29 and was also given a cheque dated August six this year. But, after five days, he was informed that he was no longer part of the show. Therefore, he filed a case to safeguard his reputation in the market.
Faisal, the brother of actor Aamir Khan, was in the news recently over his custody and mental health.
