BJP government has failed to handle flood situation:Dharam Singh
Gulbarga, Aug 14 (UNI) Former Karnataka Chief Minister N Dharam Singh today alleged that the BJP led government has failed to tackle the grim flood situation in the State.
Addressing a press conference here, he said that Chief Minister B S Yeddyurappa had neither visited the flood affected areas nor apprised the Prime Minister on the flood which has already claimed 9 lives besides causing damage to more than 1000 houses and more than 50 villages marooned.
Mr Singh said that the Chief Minister should request the Prime Minister to send a Centrel team and seek financial assistance.
Alleging that the Chief Minister and Energy Minister statements on power position were contradictory, Mr Singh demanded a "White Paper" on the power situation.
Replying to a question, he said that he was not in the race for KPCC President post.
