Kolkata, Aug 13 (UNI) Describing the all-party meeting, called by Prime Minister Manmohan Singh, as a ''drama'', the state BJP today alleged that the Centre was playing the card of minority appeasement by cancelling the land, allotted to Shri Amarnath Shrine Board (SASB).
Addressing a rally here, BJP state secretary Rahul Sinha said, '' The Congress and its allies at the Centre have surrendered to the separatist elements by denying land to the SASB. '' If the BJP-ruled Vasundhara Raje government could provide six acre land to the Muslim community for the Hajj pilgrims in Rajasthan, why the UPA government would not allot the 100-acre of land to the SASB for the Amarnath pilgrims, he asked.
He said if the Centre did not give back the land to the SASB, the party would continue the agitation until its demand was conceded.
BJP state president Satyabrata Mukherjee and senior leader Tathagata Roy along with more than 300 party workers were arrested for law violation.
