Mumbai, Aug 13 (UNI) Shiv Sena executive president Uddhav Thackeray today called on Maharashtra Chief Minister Vilasrao Deshmukh at Mantralaya to raise the issue of Dharavi redevelopment.
The meeting is considered significant in the state political corridors in the backdrop of the strained relations between Mr Deshmukh and revenue minister Narayan Rane.
Mr Rane, a former Sena strongman, left the Party in 2005.
However, Mr Thackeray said today's meeting was only to raise the issue of Dharavi redevelopment. He had demanded a 400 sq ft flat for each hutment dweller.
Mr Deshmukh assured that a coordination committee of all parties would be formed to sort out the problems on the issue.
